Snapshots from Cabo

Happy 2020 everyone! I spent the days surrounding New Year’s Eve in Cabo San Lucas with some friends and got some much needed relaxation after a busy holiday month at the office.

We stayed at Bahia Hotel & Beach House, which turned out to be a really nice hotel. I booked the room based on location and online reviews and didn’t really look all that much into the property details, but it was one of the nicest hotels I’ve slept in: great location near both the beach and downtown Cabo, super comfortable beds, and quiet rooms with thick, sound resistant walls. I would highly recommend this place if you have travel plans for Cabo San Lucas in your future.

Here are a few snapshots from my time in west Mexico. All photos were shot with an iPhone XS.

The arch of Cabo, seen during an early morning deep fishing charter.

An unexpected Mr Sea Lion hopped on the back of our moving boat while we were making our way back to the dock.

Walking around the Bahia Hotel. I just thought this was a cool picture.

It’s not Mexico without intoxicated scantily clad early-20-somethings enjoying themselves in the sun.

On the morning of New Year’s Eve, we hiked up to the top of Mount Solmar. The guy who owns the private property at the entrance of this short trail does guided hikes twice a day. Lots of fun scrambling on the upper half of the trail.

The descent down Mt Solmar with a beautiful view of Cabo San Lucas in the background.
