Photo essay: The Colorado Rockies

Mrs. Lite Adventurer and I just got back from a brief week visit to the Colorado mountains, a favorite destination of mine.  The highlight of the trip was a hike from Summit Lake up to the top of Mount Evans, which is one of the 50+ Colorado Fourteeners (mountains with a peak at or above 14,000 feet in elevation).  These are some of the most beautiful and rewarding hikes I’ve done in my life – I’ve climbed 18 so far – so check them out if you’re into challenging day hikes that require some planning.

All photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix A except the last one (the cats) which is from my iPhone 6S.
